COVID-19 Policy/Procedures

Dear Patients and Friends,

I hope this letter finds you well, probably having enjoyed the seasons a little differently this year. Though it has been a difficult 12 months, we at Family Dental clinic are happy to report that we have persevered, successfully and safely completing over 5500 appointments for our patient family. This time for us has been one of extreme gratitude, recognizing how lucky we are to have the faith and trust of so many. It is amazing what 2 months of forced closure will do to help you realize what brings you joy! For us, it is our relationships with all of you.

For those that have visited the practice in the last 12 months, we thank you for your confidence. Your overwhelming positive feedback has kept our engines running! Though our days have never been more difficult and we miss the handshakes and hugs, we also recognize the services that we are providing are helping our patients’ immune systems remain strong. Maintaining healthy habits is the best way to combat disease during this challenging time and we are thankful to be able to play a role.

Though our process (and our outfits) are a bit different, the quality of our care remains the same. For your safety we will continue for the foreseeable future to exercise the following COVID safety protocols: performing on-site screenings, minimizing patient-to-patient interaction by redirecting traffic flow in our space, use of surgical grade air filtration systems, and a hypochlorous acid fogging spray after every patient. Though these safety measures do require extra time and effort, they are a few of the methods that have kept all in our care healthy to this point. We appreciate your understanding and will continue to perfect our processes as we stay updated on the science of COVID-19.

On a happy note, we have welcomed three new members to the crew in the last year. Klare joined our dental hygiene team, a kind and gentle soul who has been a great addition to our team. Kia and Yahairi add a little youth and round out our assistant team by working closely with Drs. Newton and Clouse. They will be sure to make you comfortable and keep the Drs. on their toes. And let us not forget our FDC usual suspects: the friendly faces of Jody and Leah at the front desk, Hawi our seasoned assistant and our awesome hygienists; Yo, Jackie, and Lisa. You may notice changes in their schedules going forward – always know you will be in great hands!

Please feel free to reach out if you have questions about our current methods. We recognize and respect everyone’s feelings, regarding their personal safety and comfort in seeking care and hope that we can be a resource for information and guidance. We trust that soon we will be able to see you all again without the threat of COVID’s wrath. With the implementation of a successful vaccine, the tide is turning. When you are ready, we are ready for you. Until then, be well and enjoy the upcoming spring!

Warmly,

Drs. Newton, Clouse and the team at Family Dental Clinic
